Community Organization
The community organization is one of the components which can help to organization to aware community in various aspects. The aimed of this component is to create community in that process in which community can achieved their actual rights. More over these components the organization initiated and facilitated the process of educating the poor people on PDS, ICDS, RTI, on right based approach.

1.1 Training for SHGs on Self Governance and Development
There are 26 nos Self Help Groups in Bheluadanga and Selaikhati area organized during the year 2001 and 2005. The Group members all are from below poverty line and who were involved in their house hold activities. They never thought about savings and other social activities which will help towards their welfare in their family and the society. In continuation of the various developmental programme and activities there were series of consultations, traini
300 women from 20 SHGs can write and read and they can signed
24 SHGs are trained on books of accounts, proceeding and they are maintaining well.
All SHG members are well understood on their role & function and initiated advocacy role at gram panchyat level for proper implementation of NREGA and PDS.

Rudra Sharma, Programme Assistant of DCDP attended the training programme on Project Proposal Development and Financial Management which was held at Balipara from March 23-27th 2012 organized by the Ant & Idea. Mr. Kausik Sarkar from the Ant, Bongaigaon facilited the programme in the following areas.
1.3 Awareness on Over Population
January 18th 2012 at Missamari, Halem
consultation_sbconsultancy DCDP organized one day awareness programme on over population on January 18th 2012 at Misamari, Halem where more than 200 students including local youth from the youth club participated. A documentary on Family planning was showed and same were briefly elaborated by Ms. Swapna Devi ANM under Kawripather new PHC. The measurable steps for family planning were discussed and disseminated among the participants. Dr. J Dutta, Medical & Health Officer attended as resource person and encouraged participants with his speech on Family Planning and NRHM intervention towards Family welfare Schemes. The Chairman of DCDP executive board Mr. Indra Chetry delivered his short speech and encouraged all the participants to keep continue such active participation in near future and concluded the programme with vote of thanks.
1.4 Capacity Building workshop for Governing Board Members
1. November 1st 2011 & 2. March 24th 2012
consultation_sbconsultancy Two workshops on Capacity Building for Governing Board Members organized at DCDP Conference hall on November 1st 2011 & March 24th 2012 & both workshops meeting presided by Mr. Indra Chetry Chairman of Governing Board. There were 15 members (male- 12 female- 03) including 3 staff of DCDP was participated in the workshops on November 1st 2011 and 12 executive members & 3 staff of DCDP participated on March 24th 2012. The following key activities and decision was taken in the workshop meeting for resource mobilization and organization sustainability.
CEO of DCDP reported to the participants about the past activities which were carried out during the period of 1st April-2011 to December-2011 and made clear among the Governing Board members.
The Action Plan for the period of 1st October-2011 to 31st March-2012 & April 2012 to September 2012 are finalized for submission to donor agency and all the Governing Board members are assured their participation in the ongoing and upcoming activities.
In the both workshop the Service rule and financial policy was the major discussion in the workshop and requested sub-committee to look into the matter and bring it in the next workshop for finalization.
Adopted resolution for replacing the installation of Mini Modern Rice mill due to technical difficulties and power supply in the Nagabil area. Looking to the demand and more essentiality in the area one tractor to be purchased for economic improvement and the house decided to continue the process because of pending and discussed to raise fund to meet the purchasing capacity or to take up alternative. The house hand over the matter to the sub-committee to come out with concrete decision.
Resolution adopted to withdraw the reserve fund and keep fix deposit for 5 years at HDFC bank at Biswanath Chariali branch by opening fix deposit account in the name of District Community Development Programme.
Resolved to develop proposal for resource tapping from within and outside to address the local issues and mobilize for ground reality.
The Motor Cycle No. AS-12D-6578 to be sold at the rate of Rs. 20,000.00 due to major repairing & keep the amount in the local account till next decision.
All the respected members are requested to participate at the annual General meeting of Collective Action of People’s Empowerment (CAPE) at Biswanath Chariali from March 24th to 29th ,2012.
Annual Meeting of DCDP be organized with 2days programme during May 2nd week and Date to be finalized by the Chairman & Secretary.
The workshop concluded with vote of thanks and prayer by Mr. RV Horo, ex-chairman of Governing Board.
