2.1 Development of Herbal Nursery
DCDP initiated for development of herbal Nursery in the DCDP Campus, Bheluadanga and so far measuring of 2 kotha land has developed and prepared for nursery.
2.2 Community Level Village Meeting
DCDP organized 5 Community Level Village meeting at different remote villages during the period from October 2011 to March 2012. The details are narrated here under.
2.2.1 Community Level Village Meeting at Dullungmukh Village
District Community Development Programme (DCDP) organized one day long a Community Level Village meeting at Dullungmukh Village particularly for Dullungmukh villagers. The meeting presided by Mr.Ghanashyam Subedi, President, Karibil Gaon Panchayat. The prepared Agenda was followed with active participation of the participants. After welcome address the objective of the meeting is briefly elaborated and discussed on the matter.
The objective of the meeting was to assess the situation faced by the community of Dullungmukh Village. Through discussion it was found that the villagers of Dullungmukh identified one death wild elephant which was spreading bad smelling in the surrounding area and they have buried without informing to the concerned department. After few days a Army team from Assam Rifle Halem camp visited in Dullungmukh village and found the buried spot and exposed the dead body of wild elephant and reported to nearest forest check out post. The villagers acknowledged to the Army team that they buried the dead body of the wild elephant which was spreading unbearable smell in the surrounding area and they did not inform any one. After that event, the people of the area felt awful situation by themselves and they don’t stay at their home after evening.
They started to frightened government officials particularly police & forest department. To eliminate the situation and re-buildup good relationship with Government department especially police and forest department along with panchayat re-preventative of the area all the invitee guest and social workers discussed the matter very closely with the community. During the discussion with the community and concerned officials it was made amply clear to the villagers that community has to cooperate with the department in any kind of situation and if any problem they face in near future in the village they have to inform to Local forest check out post, Panchayat representatives, Local VDP, VDC. The following resolutions are adopted in the meeting.

Death of Wild Elephant
1. It is resolved that the community not to take any self decision regarding forest related matter but they have to inform nearest forest check out post or the local panchayats if they face any kinds of problem in the area.
2. It is resolved that the department of forest be requested to depute more forest personals and protection force for proper monitoring the Chenglijan RF area and also to cooperate with the community in the fringe area.

2.2.2 Community Level Village Meeting at Karibil Bongali Village
DCDP organized one day long Community Level Village Meeting on November 30th 2011 at Karibil Bongali Village in coopetion with Karibil Bongali Village Development committee where Mr. Rudra Br Chetry President of Karibil Bongali VDC presided the meeting. The main objective of the meeting briefly highlighted in the meeting that the various social problems like non availability of electricity, lack of safe drinking water facility, scarcity of irrigational water, human elephant conflict etc are hampering to the people in the locality. The above problems and issues were discussed with the community and empowered the participants to initiate how to process in delivering their thoughts, their dignity of life and the scenario of the village to the respective government authority as well as local Gram Panchayat for appropriate implementation of the Government Schemes. After prolong discussion the participants realized the facts and came out with the following aspiration.
1. Decided to re-approach with formal application to the SDO, Assam Electricity Board, Gohpur for electrification in the village through local Gram Panchayat.
2. Decided to approach to the Major of Assam Rifle, Halem Branch for solar light in the village.
3. Decided to approach to the Hon,le Member ZPC Halem “B” to extend priority to this remote village and undertake development schemes for improvement of weaker section in karibil Bongali village.
4. Decided to approach DFO, Sonitpur east division to control over the illegal collection of stone from the Boroi River and to take protection measures from the threat.
2.2.3 Community Level Village Meeting at Kekurizan
Kekurijan Village is one of the remote villages under Helem revenue circle. The village is about 9KM distant from National Highway (NH52), community are still suffering for safe drinking water, there is no proper road communication, provision of electricity in the village. To discuss such burning issue of the locality the DCDP organized one day long community level village meeting on October 10th 2011 at Siva Mandir campus Mikirchang under Kekurijan VDC. Community Level Village Meeting
In this programme mainly under mention subject matter was discuss. These are as follows:-
1. Analysis of drawback of community to fill up the norms launch by the government for opening of BPL, account in post office in their respective area.
2. Role of VDC, SHG, leader for proper implementation of govt. schemes
3. Analysis of drawback of Panchayat representative for proper implementing their schemes in their area.
4. Invitation for local MLA to show the tragic situation of the area is also discuss in the meeting.
2.2.4 Community Level Village Meeting at Bheluadanga
Awareness on Age at Marriage:
An awareness programme on Age at Marriage was jointly organized by DCDP and National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Gohpur Primary Health Centre at DCDP conference hall on December 16th 2011. The main objective of this programme was to educate the family specially women lady on safe delivery and to reduce the mortality rate of pregnancy women. The objective of the programme Sri Jiten Borpujari briefly elaborated to the participants that there are many cases existed in the community. Stanally Hall said “Adolescence is the storm & Stresses period of life.” This proverb is quite meaningful in human life. So many mistakes are committed by people in this period. Presently it is observed that out of 1000 women, 48 women’s are died in maternity case. Due to mental Maturity some teenage women’s false in blind love and they got marriage in pre- marriage age and lastly as a result of this love they lost their life in maternity case. To mitigate such problem in the area DCDP organized one day long awareness programme on 16th December 2011 in collaboration with NRHM (National Rural Health Mission) Gohpur Branch at DCDP conference hall. The objective of the meeting is highlighted by Mrs. Deepali Devi ASHA supervisor of Kawripather new PHC. In her speech she said that still some parent’s guardians are ignorant about proper marriage age. Lack of education some guardians make comp ails their child to marry in bellow 18 years age which can create major problem in her life. 2.2.5 Community Level Village meeting at Tinkonia Pather
District Community Development Program organized one day long village level meeting on 4th January 2012 at Tinkonia Pather in collaboration with Tinkonia VDC. The main intension of organizing this meeting is to facilitate and strengthen the Village Development Committee on how to deal with the prevailing issues and to find out the strategies for challenges and address with collective approach with the community. Due to degradation of reserve forest people of the area facing lots of problems from wild elephant in the area like crops damage, livestock damage, house damage, and damage of other property was the prime discussion matter in the meeting. In the discussion other subject matter also carried out, these are as follows:
1. Role of Village Development Committee towards Development perspective.
2. Importance & impact on RTI act 2005 through community.
3. Role of community for mobilization of government schemes in the area.
In program 1nos charge light is also offered from DCDP to get reduction from disturbance from wild elephant.6packet creekers among community. Total 21 male & 19 Female participated in the program.
2.3 Supporting SHGs & Farmers to promote Agriculture activities in the Area
DCDP provided 10 qntls of potato seeds and 60 trips of caw dung to selected 20 farmers form SHGs for 5 bighas of land in Sirajuli and Halem sapori area as alternative agriculture activities instead of paddy cultivation.
2.4 Human Elephant Conflict Mitigation Programme
The DCDP has organized one day long consultation programme on 19th October at Sirajuli LP School in cooperation with Sirajuli VDC. The main objective of organizing the programme is to discuss burning problem of wild elephant in the area. Due to hues degradation of forest in the Sengelijan R/F wild elephant creates major problems of community like damage of houses, paddy field, lost of property etc. In the meeting it is also came out that, peoples are not getting support from forest department properly.

b. Community decided for details survey and data collection for further development plan and programme as community initiative programme.
